FASHION VISIONS BROUGHT TO LIFE

Every project at Velora 3D begins with a spark of imagination. From historical inspirations to unique structures, we help fashion designers transform creative visions into tangible pieces. Explore a few of our favorite collaborations below.

3D Skirt

A client approached us with a unique vision: transforming a 16th-century object into a wearable skirt. Starting from a collage and mock-up, we analyzed the original form and translated its surreal qualities into a sophisticated design.

We collaborated closely on structure, fit, and maintaining a sculptural presence on the body. The skirt was divided into 20 printable sections, each individually printed and hand-assembled using epoxy. Printed in silk filament, the final piece features a shiny finish that echoes the historical object while pushing it into a new, wearable context.

Wearable Nipples

A client began this project with handmade clay prototypes, aiming for a more polished, wearable outcome. Using her references, we recreated the design in 3D with precise measurements and subtle adjustments for proportion and finish.

The pieces were printed in translucent pink, silver, and carbon red variations. Later, the client added a silicone layer for secure attachment to the model’s body. This project demonstrates how 3D printing elevates handmade ideas into refined, impactful pieces for fashion presentations.

3D Knit Panel

This project explored recreating knitwear using 3D printing to capture both texture and flexibility. The client shared references of yarn loops and the surface quality she envisioned.

Early prototypes were flexible but lacked visual identity; later versions looked authentic but were too rigid. Through multiple design iterations, we developed a panel balancing both qualities. The client also requested embellishments, which we integrated into the final design. Printed in shiny silk filament, the panel blurs the line between textile and printed structure.

Heels

This project involved creating custom, rock-inspired heels to attach to an existing shoe. The client brought a detailed collage and clear vision. One of the main challenges was achieving precise measurements so the printed heels would align seamlessly with her purchased shoes.

We designed organic shapes and textures mimicking real stone. After collaborative meetings and feedback from her instructor, we refined the form. The final heels were printed in matte gray filament, giving them a raw, sculptural appearance while staying true to the client’s concept
